The women's basketball team marked the end of their 2023-24 season in round one of OUA playoffs Wednesday night against the Guelph Gryphons.
The blue and gold fell 74-50 to the host Gryphons, who will advance to the OUA quarter-finals on Saturday.

Maggie Denys led the Lancer effort with 15 points on the night.
Reine Ndome also hit double figures, scoring 11 points.
Vanessa Budimunda and
Isabella Anes each had strong showings, earning nine and six rebounds, respectively.
In all, the women shot 46.7% from the charity line, 25.9% from the 3-point arc, and 28.1% from the floor.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Denys kicked off the night strong, scoring 9 points in the opening frame. The Gryphons, however, gathered a 12-point lead that, going into halftime, would prove difficult to chase down.
The women put forth a strong effort throughout the game, consistently putting up double figures in each quarter. While the blue and gold saw an even exchange of points in the final quarter with 12 points on either side, they ultimately were not able to bridge the early gap created by Guelph.
