Pair of sweeps as Lancers best Bold

The University of Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team recorded two straight sets sweeps over the TMU Bold on Friday (Nov. 14) and Saturday (Nov. 15) at the Toldo Lancer Centre.

FRIDAY
The Windsor Lancers team remained perfect on Friday evening, sweeping the TMU Bold in straight sets at the Toldo Lancer Centre. Set scores were 25–21, 25–21, and 25–20.

On the offensive side, third-year outside hitter Aliah Admans powered Windsor with a match-high and personal season-high 23 kills, finishing with 24 total points and an efficient .326 hitting percentage. Fellow attackers Jordyn Brearley and Maja Susa added support, combining for 13 kills on the night, while middle Geneva Huisman chipped in six points, highlighted by four block assists.

Setter Danika Scharff steered the Lancers offence with 33 assists, helping the team hit .276 collectively across the three sets. Defensively, libero Kaitlyn Pepper anchored Windsor's backcourt with a team-best 13 digs, while Admans and Brearley teamed up for strong net play, combining for six total blocks.

TMU saw balanced offensive production. Tyra Krapp led the Bold with 10 kills while hitting .500, and Kaiya Krahn added eight kills, two aces, and 11 digs. Hannah Bellai contributed seven kills and matched Krahn with 11 digs, while setter Sadie Bird collected 24 assists in the loss.

SATURDAY
The Lancers extended their undefeated start to the season on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the TMU Bold in straight sets at home. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21, and 25-17.

Windsor asserted control from the opening serve, hitting an efficient .400 in the first set and finishing the match with a strong .330 team percentage. TMU kept pace early in each frame but couldn't match the Lancers' balance or consistency at the net.

Fourth-year outside hitter Aliah Admans powered the Windsor attack once again, delivering a team-high 13 kills to go along with 10 digs and 14 points. She received steady support from Jordyn Brearley, who produced an ultra-efficient 13 kills on a .524 clip, tying Admans for a game-high 14 points.

Setter Danika Scharff steered the offence with precision, distributing 38 assists and adding two aces and two block assists for a six-point outing. The Lancers also benefited from timely contributions from Geneva Huisman (six kills, 7.5 points) and Maja Susa (four kills, two aces).

TMU's offence showed flashes—highlighted by Ayla Cross, who hit .600 with eight kills—but the Bold struggled to sustain pressure, finishing at .192 overall. Kaiya Krahn chipped in seven kills and eight digs, while Hannah Bellai added eight kills and three block assists. Setter Mattea Di Bacco collected 18 assists to lead the visitors.
