Kaitlyn McKnight scored both goals for the Blues, with Petra Klimes and Emma Elders assisting on both. Jillian Matthews made 26 saves in the win.

GAME FLOW
McKnight opened the scoring for U of T less than a minute into the game, capitalizing on a rebound off of a two-on-one rush to give the Blues an early lead. The Toronto captain doubled down eight minutes later as she found space in the slot and fired a shot past Noble.

Each team had consistent opportunities through the game, as Toronto forced Noble to make 12, 13, and 10 saves in each of the three periods, while Windsor had seven, 10, and nine shots saved in the contest.

Rutledge brought the Lancers to within one goal early in the third period on wrist shot from the left circle, set up by a screen from Phoebe Gao. Windsor pushed until the final buzzer, making Matthews make nine saves in the third period, but were unable to even things up as time expired.
