The Gryphons managed to hold a narrow edge after the first ten minutes, leading the Lancers by just three points heading into the second quarter. The intensity continued in the second frame, with neither team able to create much separation. Windsor outscored Guelph 24-23 in the quarter to keep things close, trailing just 46-44 at halftime. The Lancers erupted offensively in the fourth, outscoring the Gryphons 29-19 to erase the deficit and complete the comeback in front of an energetic home crowd.
Windsor's offensive rhythm peaked at the right time, shooting an impressive 66.7% from the field in the final frame and 55.4% overall for the game. The Lancers also made their chances count at the free-throw line, going 26-for-34 to help secure the victory down the stretch.
Yohann Sam led the charge for Windsor with an explosive performance, scoring 29 points on 11-of-19 shooting, while Luke Grace posted a strong double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. With the victory, the Lancers get back to their winning ways and move to 3-2 (W-L) on the season.
