HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lancers took the early lead at 4:14 when
Logan Linklater scored on the power play, assisted by
Will Ennis and
Travis Hensrud. The Warriors answered later in the period, tying the game at 16:21. Jaxson Murray capitalized on a power-play opportunity, with assists from Tate Popple and Sam McKinney, making it 1-1 as both teams headed to the intermission.

Waterloo took their first lead of the game at 6:14 when Adam Grein found the back of the net, with assists from Simon Rose and Owen Wilson, making it 2-1. However, Windsor responded with the equalizer at 10:04, as
Keegan McMullen scored with the help of
Aaron Shaw.

The momentum shifted in Windsor's favor at 17:10, when
Logan Linklater netted his second goal of the game, this time shorthanded.
Matt McNamara and
Stef Dobrich assisted on the play, giving Windsor a 3-2 lead.

The Lancers came out strong in the third period, extending their lead just 30 seconds in.
Brady Hinz scored on the power play, with
Matt McNamara and
Aaron Shaw picking up assists, putting Windsor ahead 4-2.

At 2:29, Windsor added another goal from
David Jesus, assisted by
Johnny Ulicny and
Will Ennis, making it 5-2. Waterloo kept fighting, and Sam McKinney scored at 14:56 with assists from Jaxson Murray and Tate Popple to pull the Warriors back within two, but they couldn't mount a full comeback.
