The No.4 Windsor Lancer men's volleyball team advanced to the Forsyth Cup Finals Friday night with a 3-0 sweep of the York Lions, in front of a near sold out home crowd.
GAME STATS
Chase Bridges-Hunter was all over the court for the blue & gold with 12 kills, two blocks and five digs.
Markus Law-Heese posted 33 assists,
Kaden Reid had 8 kills to go along with 2 blocks, and second-year libero

GAME FLOW
The game got off to an even start, with teams trading kills across the board for more of the opening frame. The Windsor Lancers used some momentum of a raucous home crowd to jump out to a 5 point lead in the middle of the set, however, the Lions were undeterred, roaring back with 7 straight points to take the lead at the bottom of the frame. After a key timeout, the blue and gold managed to wrestle back control of the match, ultimately winning the set 25-20.
Using momentum from the first set victory, the Lancers put the pressure on early and often, and though the Lions put some late pressure on, Windsor managed to pull out a second set victory 25-18. The third set was all Lancers, with the crowd fully in the swing of it, Windsor dominated end to end, capping the 3-0 match victory 25-13.
