The Lancer men's basketball team traveled to Guelph on Friday night, and will return home with another strike in the win column for the 2024-25 season.

Simeon Smith filled the stat sheet with 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 13 points on the night.
Emanuel Otong, Luke Grace, and Yashar Greaves-Saadat also scored double digits, earning 13, 12, and 11 points, respectively.
The Lancers shot 80.0% from the free throw line and 45.3% from the floor.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lancers and Gryphons went toe-to-toe in the first half, with Windsor edging out a 19-17 lead after the opening quarter. Guelph kept the pressure on in the second, keeping the game within reach at 37-33 heading into halftime.
After the break, the Lancers found their rhythm. With consistent play on both ends of the floor, Windsor pulled ahead with a strong half, outscoring the Gryphons 23-16 in the third and 26-20 in the fourth. Their balanced attack secured a 9-point victory, closing out the weekend with a 82-73 win.

Next, the Lancers will split the weekend on the road and at home against the Western Mustangs. On Wednesday, February 5th the Lancers take the floor at the TLC at 8:00 pm. Then, on Saturday, February 8th teams will travel to London for tip off at 8:00 pm.
