The Windsor Lancer women's basketball team fell on the road Saturday night to the Ottawa Gee-Gees 81-53, in OUA Semi Final action.

Vanessa Budimunda paved the way offensively for the blue & gold with 14 points on 5-8 shooting to go along with 7 rebounds. Harriet Carey and Julia Chiarot followed up with 13 points apiece, and Reine Ndome chipped in 7 boards.
GAME FLOW
Despite a solid effort on the glass, the Lancers struggled to find consistency on offense against a sharp-shooting Ottawa squad.
Windsor kept pace early, holding their own in the opening minutes and briefly taking the lead. However, Ottawa's efficient shooting allowed them to build a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter.
The Lancers showed resilience in the second half, with strong play inside helping them control the rebounding battle. However, turnovers and missed opportunities prevented them from mounting a serious comeback.
Julia Chiarot and Harriet Carey paced the Lancers offensively, combining for key three-pointers and defensive plays. Vanessa Budimunda also contributed with a solid presence in the paint.
