The No. 5 nationally ranked University of Windsor Lancers men's volleyball team won both games of their weekend seres against the Waterloo Warriors via sweep on January 16-17 at the Toldo Lancer Centre.

FRIDAY
The Lancers earned a straight-sets victory over the Warriors on Friday (Jan. 16) night at the Toldo Lancer Centre, winning 25-22, 27-25, and 25-15.

Waterloo pushed the hosts early, keeping the opening two sets tight, but Windsor's efficiency at the net proved decisive as the Lancers hit .418 as a team and committed just six attacking errors across the match.

Anthony Ivanovski and Darian Koskie paced the Lancer offence, each finishing with nine kills. Ivanovski was especially effective, hitting .667 while adding three blocks to lead all players with 11.5 points. Koskie followed closely with 10 points on a .450 hitting percentage.

Setter Markus Law-Heese directed the Windsor attack with 31 assists, while also contributing defensively with seven digs. The Lancers were strong at the service line as well, recording four aces, including three from Kaden Reid.

For Waterloo, Daniel Nikashov led the way with a match-high 11 kills, hitting .364 in the loss. Lucas Redmann chipped in nine kills, while Cohen Peters recorded eight and a half points, adding two service aces and an assist-heavy performance.

Despite strong stretches from the Warriors, Windsor closed each set with composure, using balanced scoring and timely blocks to seal the sweep and improve their record to 12-2 on the season.

SATURDAY
The Lancers continued their strong run on home court Saturday (Jan. 17) afternoon, earning another straight-sets victory over the Warriors. Windsor controlled the match from start to finish, closing out the sweep by scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-21.

The Lancers set the tone early with a dominant opening frame, hitting .464 as a team in the first set before maintaining steady offensive pressure the rest of the way. Windsor's depth and consistency proved to be the difference as they improved their OUA record to 12-2 with another convincing performance.

Gustavo Siqueira led all players with 18 points, finishing with 13 kills, four service aces, and two block assists while hitting .417. Conaire Taub added a strong all-around outing with seven kills, an ace, and two block assists, while Darian Koskie chipped in eight points on six kills and three blocks.
