The Windsor Lancer football team capped off Alumni Weekend with a dominating 51-2 victory over the York Lions at Alumni Stadium.

With the win, the Lancers are now 4-2 on the season and sit fourth in the OUA standings.

Quarterback
Kareame Cotton led the Lancers offence, helping to complete 32 of 45 passes for 496 yards and five touchdowns. His five TDs moved him into the top spot on the Lancer all-time list for passing touchdowns in a season with 23, surpassing Austin Kennedy who recorded 20 TDs in 2011. Cotton also ran in the Lancers first score early in the first quarter.

Wide receiver
Colby Ginn led with seven receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Matteo Trifon added four catches for 101 yards and a touchdown, including a 60-yard score in the third quarter.
Nathan Smith recorded five receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown, while
Tyriq Quayson added two catches for 19 yards and a touchdown.

The Lancers finished with 686 total yards, including 496 passing yards and 187 rushing yards. Windsor's defence recorded three sacks and an interception.
Alex Patrinos added nine points, going 6-for-6 on extra points and connecting on a 17-yard field goal.

For York, quarterbacks Matt Linn and Johnny Spoltore combined for 4-of-14 passing for 36 yards and one interception. The Lions were held to just 38 total yards of offence, including 36 passing yards and two rushing yards. Malik Gagne-Smith led York with two receptions for 18 yards, while he also recorded 164 kickoff return yards.

The Lancers brought the energy to the field Saturday evening giving the team plenty to celebrate as they cap off senior night and Alumni Week. Cotton set the tone early, rushing for a 31-yard touchdown before connecting with
Tyriq Quayson for a 16-yard score. Cotton later connected with
Colby Ginn for a 27-yard touchdown, ending the first quarter with Windsor leading 20-0.

Once again taking the second quarter lead, Windsor scored three touchdowns to take a 34-0 lead into halftime. Cotton threw a pass to
Nathan Smith for a five-yard touchdown and later found
Colby Ginn for another score.

Opening the third quarter with back-to-back sacks and a safety to extend Windsor's lead to 37-0, the Lancers continued to control the field. Cotton connected with
Matteo Trifon on a 60-yard touchdown pass, pushing the score to 43-0. York added two points on a Windsor safety later in the quarter, but the Lancers entered the fourth quarter with a 46-2 advantage.

Windsor added another safety early into the fourth quarter taking the lead to 48-2. The Lancers' defence continued to pressure York, with
Derek Anderson intercepting York quarterback, Matt Linn at the Windsor 52-yard line.
Alex Patrinos added a 17-yard field goal late in the game to bring the final score to 51-2.
