The University of Windsor Lancers women's basketball team had their season come to a close with a 97-38 semifinal loss to the TMU Bold on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, Ont.
Leah Tate's nine points led the Lancers.
Kali Grootenboer had three steals while the fourth-year centre,
Jodie-Rachel Pierre, and
Jade Hunte had six rebounds each.
Myriam Kone led TMU with 24 points and Kait Nichols netted 20. Hailey Franco DeRyck had a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Lancers conclude their season following a 17-5 (W-L) regular season that saw them claim their second consecutive OUA West division title and advance to the semifinals following an 83-77 win over the Brock Badgers in the quarterfinals.
