The University of Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team closed out their 2025-26 home schedule with a pair of losses to the No. 8 nationally ranked and defending OUA champion McMaster Marauders on the weekend of Feb. 6-7 at the Toldo Lancer Centre.
FRIDAY
The Lancers came up short on home court, falling in straight sets to McMaster on Friday (Feb. 6) night at the Toldo Lancer Centre. McMaster controlled the tempo throughout the match, earning a 25–14, 25–21, 25–18 victory to hand Windsor the three-set loss.Â
McMaster set the tone early with an efficient opening frame, limiting Windsor to a .028 hitting percentage in the first set. The Lancers showed improved rhythm in the second, cutting into the deficit behind stronger offensive execution, but the visitors remained composed in key moments to maintain control. McMaster sealed the match with a dominant third-set performance, hitting .615 while holding Windsor to .375.Â
Offensively for Windsor, Aliah Admans led the Lancers with 11 kills, adding 11 digs in a well-rounded effort. Geneva Huisman also reached double digits in points with 11, contributing five kills, two service aces, and a strong presence at the net. Jordyn Brearley chipped in eight kills on a .500 hitting percentage, while Maja Susa added two kills in limited action. Setter Danika Scharff directed the Windsor offence with 25 assists and four block assists. Defensively, Admans anchored the back row with a team-high 11 digs as Windsor finished with 42 digs overall.Â
For McMaster, Olivia Julien led all players with 19 kills on an efficient .485 hitting percentage, while Lucie Shaver added 13.5 points. The Marauders finished the match hitting .351 as a team.Â
SATURDAY
The Lancers fell in four sets to the visiting Marauders on Saturday (Feb. 7) afternoon at the Toldo Lancer Centre, dropping the match by set scores of 25–18, 25–23, 27–25, and 25–11.Â
McMaster set the tone early, opening the match with an efficient offensive performance to take the first two sets. Windsor showed resilience in an intense third frame, battling point-for-point and pushing the set to extra points before narrowly falling 27–25. The Marauders closed out the match in the fourth to seal the road victory.Â
Geneva Huisman led the Lancers offensively with 11 points, recording 11 kills on an impressive .444 hitting percentage. Aliah Admans added 14 kills, while Jordyn Brearley contributed six kills and was active at the net with four total blocks. Setter Danika Scharff directed the Windsor offence with 37 assists and chipped in defensively with a team-high 15 digs and five total blocks. In the back row, Anna Scarfe and Scharff anchored the Lancers' defence, helping Windsor finish with 64 team digs.Â
For McMaster, Olivia Julien led all players with 25.5 points, tallying 22 kills and three service aces. Maddy Lutes added 17 points on 15 kills, while Angelika Vidmar was highly efficient, recording nine kills without an error. The Marauders finished the match hitting .258 as a team and totalling 80 digs.Â
