Women's golf finishes 10th at national championships

The University of Windsor Lancers women's golf team placed 10th overall at the 2026 Canadian University/College Golf Championships this week in Lévis, Que.

Kennedy Fremlin, Marie Carunungan, Lauren Purves, and Ella Harris shot a combined +84 (732—246, 232, 254) over a shortened tournament that lasted three rounds over four days due to inclement weather.

The Lancers flirted with a top-five ranking through the first two days and ultimately placed tenth after playing just one round over the final two days. They finished just nine strokes out of fifth place and closed the week as the fourth-best team from the OUA on the national stage.

Fremlin placed 20th individually out of 51 women's participants by shooting a 236 (81, 75, 80), leading the blue and gold in scoring on each day of the tournament. Carunungan finished 34th with a 250 (84, 78, 88), Purves placed 36th at 251 strokes (81, 84, 86), and Harris' 256 (86, 79, 91) placed 43rd.
