The University of Windsor Lancers men's soccer team were defeated 3-0 by the Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday, August 30 in Waterloo, Ont.
GAME FLOW
Following an energetic home opener on Friday against York, the Lancers created offense in the first half, outshooting Laurier 3-2, but the Golden Hawks struck first with a goal in the 40
th minute.
Laurier added two more goals in the second half to pull away to a 3-0 victory. Windsor recorded four shots in the second half, but were unable to beat Golden Hawks goalkeeper David Carano.
STATS
Ciaran O'Connor had three shots on net to lead the Lancer offense, with
Ottavio Liburdi recording the other shot on goal.
Laurier goals were scored by Alban Osdautaj, Andrea Chiechi, and Armaan Patel.
