The University of Windsor women's soccer program continued their 2026 season Sunday (Sep. 6) afternoon by adding a point in a 0-0 draw at Brock.
GAME FLOW
While both teams were entering today's contest coming off convincing wins against Waterloo, this afternoon's matchup at Brock Alumni Field was much more of a chess match between the penalty areas and along the sidelines.
Despite a scoreless tie, each team had their moments offensively and physically. Building off a 2-0 win in their opener at Waterloo a week prior, the Badgers led the charge early during their home opener with three corners and two shots within the first 20 minutes, highlighted by Jenna Parris' header, but no pressure was too big for
Izzy Barrette's side to handle.
In the second half, the blue and gold returned the favour, moving the ball well across the field and forcing Brock's side to commit ten fouls during the half and 16 overall. Offensively, Windsor was led by midfielder
Zoe Penny, who posted a team-high two total shots after potting a goal Friday night; for the home side, Parris had three total shots of her own.
STATS
Outside of head coaches Daniel Mendoca of Windsor and Zack Wilson of Brock, keepers Izzy Barrett and Madison Heely were the biggest stylistic winners today, as they each posted their second clean sheet of the season. Barrett made three saves while Heely made four to continue her 2026 shutout streak.
The blue and gold have now earned points in five of their last six games against the St. Catharines-based side, building off three wins and a 1-1 draw since the 2022 season.

Windsor (1-2-1) will travel to York University on Friday, September 11, looking to avenge their season-opening loss to the Lions at 6 pm before returning to Alumni Stadium on Sunday, September 13, to host Laurier as part of a 1:00 pm kickoff.
