The St. Denis Athletic Centre is the recreation facility on the campus of the University of Windsor and is home to the University of Windsor Lancers.
Opened in 1980-81, the St. Denis Centre offers residents of the City of Windsor and the County of Essex access to the indoor and outdoor facilities during specific times.
Our mission is to provide facilities and service for University programs and to work cooperatively with the greater community of Windsor and Essex County to ensure access to those facilities and services.
Highlights within the St. Denis Athletic Centre include:
Fieldhouse
Home to our Windsor Lancers Basketball, Volleyball and Track and Field teams, the St. Denis Centre Fieldhouse is a multi-purpose facility that can hold up to 2,500 spectators.
The fieldhouse also provides our University of Windsor students and the local community access to an indoor track, basketball & volleyball courts, as well as a mondo surface with badminton courts.

Indoor Track
Home to our 2009 Lancer CIS Track & Field National Champions, the indoor track gives our University of Windsor students and the local community members access to a state-of-the-art seven lane, 200m indoor track area.
Swimming Pool
The St. Denis Centre swimming pool is 25yd x 25m, with numerous lanes for both lap swims and recreational use.
The deep end is 13 feet deep and houses a diving board. Many events are hosted in the pool including the SWOSSA and OFSSA swimming championships and many aquatics fitness classes.

University of Windsor Stadium/Alumni Field
The University of Windsor Stadium opened in 2005 and is the premier outdoor stadium facility in the Windsor-Essex County region.
With 2,000 permanent seats and capacity for over 10,000 spectators, the stadium in home to our Lancer Football, Soccer and Track and Field teams.
Recognized as an outstanding multi-purpose facility, the stadium has already played host to the 2005 Pan American Junior Games and the 2008 Canadian Olympic Trials for Track and Field.
The facility features an artificial turf field by Field Turf, a word leader in artificial turf installations. The stadium's turf field is the only artificial field in the Windsor and Essex region and will be approved for international sporting competitions with a FIFA-approved rating.
The football field is surrounded by a world class 400m outdoor track, four long jump pits, a permanent javelin runway and a high jump and shot put area.
The University of Windsor Stadium is available to be rented for a variety of sport and recreation purposes, depending on your facility needs.

The Forge Fitness Centre
The Forge is the University of Windsor's new Fitness Centre. This state-of-the-art facility provides U of W students an opportunity to pursue a healthier lifestyle with access to all the latest fitness equipment and technology.
It is also home to our Lancer Sport Performance Centre and serves as the training grounds for our Windsor Lancers varsity athletes.
