Joe Circelli serves as the Offensive Coordinator for the University of Windsor Lancers Football program, bringing a wealth of experience as both a coach and former professional athlete.
Since joining the Lancers coaching staff, Circelli has played an important role in the program's resurgence as Windsor has re-established itself as a contender in the OUA. He has helped develop an offensive system built on physicality, efficiency, and explosive playmaking, contributing to the team's return to playoff contention and its deep postseason run that saw the Lancers reach the OUA Final Four in 2023.
Circelli oversees all aspects of the Lancers' offensive operation, including game planning, quarterback development, offensive strategy, and recruiting. Under his guidance, Windsor's offense has become a balanced and dynamic attack capable of generating production through both the passing and rushing game while developing student-athletes into high-performing contributors on and off the field.
Prior to joining the Lancers, Circelli served as the Defensive Line Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Western University, where he helped develop one of the top football programs in the country while playing a key role in athlete recruitment and development.
A former standout offensive lineman, Circelli enjoyed a successful playing career at Western University, earning OUA All-Star honours during his time with the Mustangs. Following his collegiate career, he was selected in the CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders and went on to spend two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts.
Known for his strong football acumen, leadership, and commitment to student-athlete success, Circelli brings a competitive, innovative approach to offensive football while helping to cultivate a culture of excellence within the Lancers program.
