Coach Nesbitt joins the Lancers after most recently serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Guelph. With the Gryphons, Matt was an Offensive Assistant Coach and the Football Operations Manager. In his football operations role, he was a key contributor in the areas of recruiting, community involvement and camps. Prior to coaching at Guelph, Matt also worked for the CFL’s Toronto Argonauts as an assistant offensive line coach.
As a player, Matt enjoyed a distinguished five year career with the Gryphons that included a Yates Cup championship in 2015. He anchored the Gryphons offensive line, earning OUA All-Star status at the centre position, while also serving as a team captain.
