Stjepanovic leads the defense for the Lancers coaching staff. During his first season with the Lancers, the team’s defensive rating improved to 100.5 from 106.9 the season prior. That net decrease of 6.4 points was the second-best improvement in the OUA and fourth-best across U SPORTS.

For the past two seasons, Stjepanovic has worked alongside head coach Ryan Schmidt who has guided the Honey Badgers to back-to-back playoff appearances.

Prior to arriving in Windsor, Stjepanovic spent two seasons with the Western University men’s basketball program serving as a graduate assistant coach. The Mustangs (2015-2016) were a U SPORTS top 10 ranked team during that time.

A native of Windsor, Ontario, Stjepanovic attended local Riverside S.S., where he was a 4-time WECSSAA all-star. He helped the Rebels capture two WECSSAA and two SWOSSAA championships in addition to leading the school to their first OFSAA appearance in 2010. Stjepanovic had a brief stint with the U SPORTS top 5 ranked Lancers (2011-12) before beginning his coaching career.

From 2014 to 2019, Coach Stjepanovic served as a high school boys head coach with Riverside S.S. & Oakridge S.S. (London, Ontario). Stjepanovic was a head coach for the Windsor Riverside Falcons club program who compete both in the OBA & AAU circuit. He was also the head coach of the girls’ basketball team at Riverside S.S.

Stjepanovic is a graduate from the University of Windsor where he earned a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree in Movement Science. He is also a graduate of Western University where he earned his Master’s in Leadership & Management, specializing in coaching.
