2018-19: Appeared in 17 matches and 60 sets. Recorded 92 kills on .344 hitting; 5 assists, 19 aces, 39 digs, 70 total blocks, and 157 points. His best game was on November 23, against Western where he scored 9 kills on .467 hitting; 1 assist, and 13 points. Moate was named an OUA first team all-star for the 2018-19 season. He was also named to Team Canada for the 2019 FISU Summer Universiade.Â
2017-18: Played in 17 matches and 69 sets. Recorded 135 kills on .429 hitting; 10 assists, 11 aces, 38 digs, 87 total blocks, and 206 points. Moate's best game came on November 24, against RMC. He scored 11 kills on .526 hitting; 2 assists and 20 points. He was also named to the OUA's first team all-star roster for the 2017-18 season.
2016-17: Appeared in 17 matches; 146 kills, .412 hitting %, 4 assists, 38 digs, 49 total blocks, 3.2 points per set. John was ranked #4 in U SPORTS in Hitting Percentage (.412) and #7 in Solo Blocks (22). Was also named an OUA second team all-star.Â
