Emma Duinker

Emma spent two seasons as an assistant coach with the Lancer women’s basketball program before stepping in as head coach in an interim role for the 2018-19 season.
 
Duinker enjoyed an outstanding playing career in U SPORTS with the Acadia Axewomen as she was an AUS all-star, an all-Canadian and led the Axewomen to an AUS championship title. She also played professionally for three season in Europe upon graduating from Acadia with a BSc in Nutrition. She has been with PGC Basketball since 2011, where she currently serves as Director and is currently finishing her Masters in Sports Management at the University of Windsor.
 
Emma is passionate about teaching individual skills and life lessons to her athletes. Her coaching experience revolves around individual skill development and athlete mentoring. Emma balances her coaching as a master’s student in sport management where she hopes to use her skill set combined with her coaching experience, to find a career in the sport industry.
 
Her love for the game of basketball and passion for working with athletes has been multiplied by her work with PGC Basketball. Emma uses her experience from her professional playing career and player development background, to teach the game of basketball with compassion and energy.
