Amy Maitre continues with the Lancer Women’s Hockey program for the 2024/2025 season, as a full-time assistant coach. Her current position is a two-year term, extending to the end of 2026. Maitre first joined the Lancers as a student-athlete in 2016. Upon graduating, she moved into a support role, and is now a full-time apprentice coach.
During her time as a student-athlete, Maitre served as an assistant captain for three seasons 2019-2022. She was also an Academic All-Canadian throughout her playing career 2016-2022 and was name Most Valuable Player in the 2019/2020 season.
Coach Maitre also works as a player development/skills coach locally, working with athletes ranging from beginners up to the collegiate level.
Maitre graduated from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, Honours Kinesiology, minoring in psychology.
