Demetri Vacratsis was named head coach of the Lancer men’s program in February 2024 after serving as the interim head coach since July 2023. Prior to that, Vacratsis served as an assistant coach with the Lancer women’s team from 2021-2023 helping them reach consecutive playoff births.
Widely respected in the Windsor-Essex soccer community and Michigan soccer community, Vacratsis coached the U17 OPDL team in 2022-2023 for Tecumseh SC, coached for MLS Next club Vardar SC in the US Development Academy and in the Elite Club National League from 2016-2021. He was the Boys ECNL Director and led teams to the top of the Midwest Region and National Championship Final Tournaments.
A native of Windsor, Vacratsis played at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the NCAA after a successful high school career at WD Lowe and youth club career where he won provincial championships.
