Eric serves as Associate Athletics Director with the University of Windsor’s Department of Athletics and Recreation, where he plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Lancer varsity athletics program.
In his role, Vandenbroucke works closely with Lancer student-athletes, coaches and support staff to support the successful delivery of Windsor’s varsity programs. He also helps oversee the Green Shield Sport Therapy Clinic and the athletic facilities at the Toldo Lancer Centre, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality environment for Lancer student-athletes and the university community.
Vandenbroucke is actively involved in inter-university athletics at the provincial and national level, having served as Co-Chair of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Sport Technical Committee as well as on the U SPORTS national Sport Technical Committee.
He also serves on the Executive Committee of the University of Windsor Alumni Sports Hall of Fame, helping recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of Lancer student-athletes, coaches, teams and builders.
Vandenbroucke brings extensive experience in athletics administration, marketing, sponsorship and alumni relations to his current leadership role. Prior to becoming Associate Athletics Director, he spent 12 years as the Marketing and Sponsorship Manager for Lancer Athletics, where he developed relationships with corporate partners and helped promote and strengthen the Lancer brand. He also previously served as an Alumni and Development Officer in the Faculty of Human Kinetics, working with alumni and donors to support the faculty and its initiatives.
Throughout his career at the University of Windsor, Vandenbroucke has been committed to advancing Lancer Athletics and enhancing the student-athlete experience.
A native of Elmira, Ontario, Eric earned his Master’s of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Windsor.
