Box Score The Lancer Men's Hockey team dropped a 4-1 decision to their rivals the Western Mustangs on Thursday night in London.
With the loss, Windsor falls to 0-5 in conference play and still in search of their first regular season victory of the year.
Western's Kevin Baker scored the game's first goal less than two minutes into the first period on a pass from Aaron Snow and Keaton Turkiewicz to put the Mustangs ahead 1-0.
They would add to their lead with another power play goal by Geoff Killing later in the first to head into the second period up 2-0.
The line of Baker, Snow and Turkiewicz would take advantage of another Mustang man advantage to give their team a three goal lead in the middle frame. Western's Yashar Farmanara would score their final goal of the game near the end of the period to give the Mustangs a convincing 4-0 lead.
The Lancers finally got on the baord with a power play goal of their own midway through the final period. Brett Oliphant scored his first goal of the season rom Josh Gaynor and Kyle Tront to make the final score 4-1 in favour of Western.
Frank Dayus took the loss for Windsor in goal after making 21 saves. He was replaced by Jim Watt in the third period.
The Lancers will now head across the border for an east coast exhibition tour against the Ivy League's Cornell University on Friday night and Princeton University on Sunday afternoon.
