Box Score
The Windsor Lancers Women's Volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon at the St. Denis Centre.

The Mustangs defeated the Lancers by scores of 25-11, 25-21 and 25-21.

In set one, Western overpowered the Lancers offensively with impressive hitting and well anticipated blocks. While the Lancers fought hard, the Mustangs managed to take the first set 25-11.

Speed and timing played a crucial role in the second set. The Lancers fought hard to contain the Mustangs' quick, fluid plays, with  Michelle Pierce, Jillian Fantuz and Kaila Seguin helping to pressure the powerful Mustang squad.

Down by 8, the Lancers battled back to tighten the gap before eventually falling 25-21.

Windsor picked it up in set three and took their first lead of the game. Some Mustang breakdowns allowed the Lancers to capitalize on their opportunities to pull ahead.

However, Windsor's third set lead was narrowed by a Western comeback midway through the set. Back and fourth scoring continued for the remainder of the set, with the Mustangs eventually taking over near the end of the set for the 25-21 win and the match victory.

For the Lancers, Kaila Seguin led the way with 11 kills, and was named Windsor's player of the game. Jacqueline Robinson took the honours for Western.

The Lancers next hit the court on Friday, November 27th against the Guelph Gryphons in Guelph.

Windsor will then close out their first half portion of the schedule on Sunday, November 29th when they host the Waterloo Warriors at 2pm at the St. Denis Centre.
