Women's Volleyball opens 2010 with loss to McMaster

The Lancer Women's volleyball team opened up their 2010 campaign with a tough 3-1 loss to the McMaster Marauders on Friday night in Hamilton.

Windsor was defeated 25-16, 25-18, 18-25 and 25-17 by the Marauders.

On Friday night, the Marauders picked up the first two sets, outscoring Windsor by nine and the second by a margin of seven.

The Lancers got on the board in the third stanza 25-18 set victory to force a fourth set.

In the fourth, the Marauders turned in a strong performance as they won the set 25-17 to win the match.

Kaila Seguin led the Lancers with 12 points on 11 kills and Jovanna Stranatic dug up 12 hits.

Windsor will hit the road again this weekend as they face the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday night in Waterloo and the Brock Badgers on Sunday in St. Catharines.
