Women's Hockey defeats Warriors 1-0 on the road in Waterloo

Candace Rapchak had the game's only goal in Windsor's 1-0 victory.
Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Hockey team defeated the University of Waterloo Warriors 1-0 on Saturday afternoon on the road in Waterloo.

With the victory, the Lancers move to 8-13-0 on the season and back into eighth spot in the OUA conference.

On Saturday, after a scoreless first period, Candace Rapchak scored the only goal of the game at 7:21 mark of the second period on the powerplay for the Lancers. Assisting on the goal was Manon Davis and Ashley Kirby.

Lancer goaltender Jamie Tessier shut the door on the Warriors attack as she stopped 38 shots to earn the shutout victory.

Waterloo outshot Windsor 38-30 in the game.

The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday, January 30th when they host the Toronto Varsity Blues at home at South Windsor Arena. Puck drop is set for 4:10pm.
