Box Score 2 The Lancer women's volleyball team lost a pair of games to the Western Mustangs and Guelph Gryphons this weekend in OUA Women's Volleyball action.
On Friday night, the young Lancer squad travelled to London to face the dominating Mustangs. Windsor lost in three straight sets 12-25, 12-25, 19-25.
Sunday marked the volleyball program's participation in Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend and the team's final home game of the 2009-10 season.
The Lancers struggled in the first set against the Gryphons, falling 16-25, but rebounded in sets two and three making the Gryphons work for every points.
On the brink of elimination in the third, the Lancers came from behind to take the set 25-21 and send the game into extra matches. Unfortunately in set four, Windsor was unable to maintain their stamina and fell 11-25.

Jillian Fantuz. Head Coach Marilyn Douglas, along with Fantuz's parents, presented Fantuz with a special gift to thank her for her dedication to the Lancer volleyball program.
Fantuz was also named the Lancers player of the game.
The Lancers hit the road for the remainder of the season, with their first stop in Kingston this coming weekend to face the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins.
