Men's Hockey defeats Waterloo 5-4 in Saturday night action at Windsor Arena

Scott Todd scored a goal in the Lancers 5-4 victory over Waterloo on Saturday night.
Box Score The Windsor Lancers Men's Hockey team earned an impressive victory on Saturday night as the defeated the Waterloo Warriors 5-4 at Windsor Arena.

With the victory, the Lancers move to 7-8-3 in conference play.

On Saturday night, the Lancers got on the board first on a goal from Josh Gaynor as they took a 1-0 lead. The Warriors answered back with a pair of goals from Chris Ray to take a 2-1 after one period.

In the second, Windsor got a pair of goals of their own from Scott Gillis and Josh Gaynor as they led 3-2 after two periods.

In the third, after Waterloo tied it at 3-3, Kyle Tront scored an unassisted goal that was followed by an empty netter from Scott Todd as the Lancers held on for the 5-4 victory.

Jim Watt made 48 saves in goal for the victory.

The Lancers will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Thunder Bay, Ontario for a pair of games against the Lakehead Thunderwolves.
