Less than a minute into the second, the Thunderwolves headed to the box and Windsor wasted no time taking advantage. Captain Kyle Lang scored his first of the season on the power play to make it 2-0.

Watt continued to be outstanding in net as he turned aside 16 shots throughout the period to keep Windsor ahead.

Mike Lombardi scored his fourth of the season to round out the period to put Windsor up 3-0 heading into the third.

Again the Lancers started the period with a bang as Ryan Caicco gave Windsor a 4-0 lead just thirty-six seconds into the third.

The Thunderwolves were finally able to sneak one past Watt as they recorded their lone goal of the game on the power play just a few minutes later.

Windsor would seal the convincing victory one minute later as Scott Gillis scored the game's final goal to give the Lancers the impressive 5-1 victory.

Watt made 37 saves on the night, as Lakehead outshot the Lancers 38-32.
