Men's Hockey knocks off Laurier 3-2 at Windsor Arena

Scott Todd scored his first of the season in the 3-2 victory over Laurier.
Box Score The Windsor Lancers Men's Hockey team earned a hard fought 3-2 victory over the Laurier Golden Hawks on Friday night at Windsor Arena.

With the victory, the Lancers move to 5-5-1 in conference play.

On Friday night, Windsor got on the board early as Scott Todd scored his first goal of the season to give them a 1-0 lead.

The Golden Hawks would bounce back only a minute later as they scored to make it 1-1 five minutes into the game.

In the second, Ryan Caicco would register his fourth goal of the season on the power play just two minutes into the period to go ahead 2-1. Kyle Lang and Kyle Nishizaki picked up assists.

The Lancers held a 2-1 lead through most of the third period before Laurier's Ryan Bernardi scored on the power play to even things up.

However, two minutes later, second year forward Anthony Tapper scored his third of the year to give the Lancers the 3-2 lead and the victory.

Lancer goaltender Jim Watt was solid in net again as he made 32 saves in the victory.

The Lancers will be back in action on Saturday night when they host the York Lions at 7:30pm at Windsor Arena.
