Box Score 2 The Lancer women's volleyball team dropped a pair of road games to the Waterloo Warriors and Laurier Golden Hawks this weekend.
With the set of losses, Windsor is still winless on the season heading into their final game of 2010 next weekend at home against the Brock Badgers.
On Friday night, the Lancers faced the Warriors in a rare 8pm game. Despite some strong play from the Lancers, they were unable to come away with the win, falling 3-0 (24-26, 20-25, 14-25).
Kaila Seguin had an outstanding game for Windsor leading the team with a game high 15 kills and 7 digs.
Michelle Pierce contributed 8 kills and a team high 9 digs for Windsor.
The Warriors were led by Joanne Meltzer with 14 kills, and Meaghan Loveday with 13 kills.
On Saturday against Laurier, Windsor again showed some promise but lost three straight sets 17-25, 19-25, 16-25.
Pierce again had a a strong game leading her team with 7 kills, while
Jessica Shepley had 5 kills in the loss.
The Golden Hawks were led by Tesca Andrew-Wasylik and Brittany Hopley with 9 kills each. Hopley also had 5 digs on defense for the host Hawks.
Windsor will take on the Brock Badgers next Saturday November 27th at 1:00pm at the St. Denis Centre for their final game of the 2010 year.
