In their final home weekend of 2010, the Lancer Women's Hockey team split a pair of games against the Waterloo Warriors and No. 2 Laurier Golden Hawks.

On Saturday afternoon, the Lancers rolled over the visiting Waterloo Warriors 5-0 at South Windsor Arena.

Lindsay Hoogstraten opened up the scoring for the Lancers with a power play goal four minutes into the first period.

Rookie Courtney Spoors scored her ninth goal of the season to put Windsor up by two midway through the period. Adelana Tridico then secured the Lancer lead with her first OUA career goal, giving Windsor a three goal lead heading into the second period.

Captain Julie Hamilton scored her third of the year in the middle period before Hoogstraten scored her second of the game in the third period to round out the Lancer scoring.

Windsor outshot the Warriors 36-16, with Lancer goaltender Jamie Tessier making all 16 saves for her second shutout of the season.

On Sunday, the Lancers faced a tougher opponent in the No. 2 ranked Golden Hawks. Despite a hard fought effort, Windsor was unable to come away with the victory, falling 3-1 to the Hawks.

Laurier got on the board first in the second period with Andrea Shapero's fifth goal of the season. The Hawks increased their lead to two with a short handed goal from forward Laura Brooker.

Windsor retaliated with a power play goal one minute later to bring them back within reach at the end of  the second period.

In the third, Laurier's Candace Styles scored on the powerplay to seal the 3-1 victory over the Lancers.

The Lancers will now close out the front portion of their season with a road trip next weekend to face the Queen's Gaels and UOIT Ridgebacks.
