No. 9 Lancers swept by Gaels and Ridgebacks

The Lancer Women's Hockey team dropped their final two games of 2010 with a pair of losses to the Queen's Gaels and UOIT Ridgebacks this weekend on the road.
 
Windsor enters the holiday break with a 8-8 record and are currently tied for 5th place in the OUA with the Gaels.
 
On Friday night, the No. 9 ranked Lancers were shutout 3-0 by the Queen's Gaels in Kingston. The Lancers fired 31 shots on Queen's goalie Mel Dodd-Moher but were unable to take advantage of the opportunities.
 
On Saturday, Windsor dropped a heartbreaking 5-3 decision to the UOIT Ridgebacks in Oshawa.

The Lancers held a 3-1 lead heading into the third period against the Ridgebacks before the home team responded with four unanswered goals to claim the victory. It was the Windsor's third straight loss heading into the break.
Kristin Bortolotti, Candace Rapchak and Manon Davis scored for the Lancers.
 
Windsor will return to action on January 8th when they travel to London to face the Western Mustangs.
 
The Lancers return home on Saturday, January 22nd when they play host to the Queen's Gaels at 4:10pm at South Windsor Arena.
