The Windsor Lancers Men's Hockey team will host game two of their best of three playoff series against the Waterloo Warriors on Friday night at 7:30pm at Windsor Arena.
Game Two can be heard live in an audio only webcast at http://www.varstiy.uwaterloo.ca/varsity/webcast.html.
The Lancers took game one of the series on Wednesday night as the defeated the Warriors 4-2 at Columbia Ice Field in Waterloo. Kyle Tront had a pair of powerplay goals for the Lancers and Jim Watt made 34 saves in goal for the victory.
In game two on Friday night, Windsor will need to continue their strong defensive play and get more solid netminding from Jim Watt if they want to earn the series sweep. The native of Edmonton, Alberta was a OUA First Team All-Star a year ago and has proven repeatedly that he can steal a game in goal for the Lancers.
Up front, the Lancers will need to keep an eye on Waterloo's potent offensive attack which is led by third year forward Chris Ray. He finished the regular season ninth in the OUA in scoring with 18 goals and 23 assists on the year.
This season, Waterloo won the regular season series against the Lancers as they captured three of four games. In addition to their one regular season win over the Warriors, Windsor also defeated Waterloo in an exhibition game during the Christmas break.
The puck is set to drop for game two of the series on Friday, February 19th at 7:30pm at Windsor Arena. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students and will be available at the door.
If necessary, game three will take place back in Waterloo on Sunday, February 21st at 2pm. Please note that regular season passes will not be accepted at any playoff games.
