The Lancer Women's Volleyball team lost a pair of road games to the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins this past weekend in Kingston.

The Gaels took an early 8-1 lead against a struggling Lancer squad. A late comeback by Windsor threatened the Gaels lead, but Queen's maintained their lead earning the opening set 25-23.

Despite some strong hitting by Queen's, Windsor was able to establish an early lead in the second match. However, Queens used a 7-1 run to take the lead and the second set 25-20. The final set saw Queen's edge Windsor 25-23 in a close match.

Kaila Seguin led the Lancers with 13 points on nine kills and two aces. Jillian Fantuz led the team in assists with 20.

On Sunday against the RMC Paladins, the Lancers played five tough sets and narrowly lost to the host Paladins 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 26-28, 25-20, 6-15).

Seguin again led the Lancers with 18 kills for 19 points, while Michelle Pierce chipped in 10 kills and 14 points.

The Lancers will play their final game of the 2009-10 season this Friday night as they travel to Waterloo to face the Laurier Golden Hawks at 6:00pm.
