Lancer Football defeated by Marauders in Hamilton

The Lancer Football team was defeated 39-3 on Saturday by the McMaster Marauders on the road at Ron Joyce Stadium in Hamilton.
 
With the loss, the Lancers fall to 1-4 on the season.
 
On Saturday, the Marauders got off to a fast start as quarterback Kyle Quinlan passed and ran for a pair of touchdowns to put the home team up 14-0 after one quarter of play.
 
The second quarter was more of the same as McMaster added another touchdown before the Lancer kicker Robert Eeuwes nailed a field goal to make the score 21-3 heading into the break.
 
In the second half, Quinlan completed his third touchdown pass on the day and added another rushing touchdown to build their lead to 36-3 after three quarters of play. The Marauders would add a field goal in the fourth to make the final score 39-3.
 
The Lancers had no answer for the potent Marauder offence which amassed 529 yards in total offense on the day.
 
For McMaster, Kyle Quinlan completed 12 of 18 passes for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns to give to the Marauders a 3-2 record on the season.
 
For Windsor, Sam Malian finished 8 of 20 passing for 125 yards. Running back Paul Lefaive carried the ball 9 times for 59 yards.
 
Windsor has a bye next Saturday, before returning home for Windsor Minor Football Day on October 9th against the York Lions. Kick-off is set for 1pm. 

All minor football players wearing their team's jersey will get into the game for free.
