Lancer Volleyball falls to McMaster and Guelph on the road

The Lancer women's volleyball team fell 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 13-25, 9-25, 5-15) to McMaster and 3-0 (20-25, 15-25, 19-25) to the Guelph Gryphons on the road this weekend.
 
Against McMaster on Friday, Windsor jumped out to an early 2-0 set lead but was unable to hold on for a win.
 
Windsor was led by Kaila Seguin's 14 points, 11 kill performance.
 
The Gryphons jumped out to an early 8-5 lead in set 1 and expanded the margin in the middle section to win 25-20. The second set was more of the same as Guelph gradually built a lead throughout against the Lancers, winning 25-15.
 
To start the third set, the Gryphons lost focus and Windsor made them pay taking a quick 5-2 lead. It wasn't until 14-13 that Guelph regained took the lead and were able to expand it slightly to win the set 25-19.
 
Windsor was led by Michelle Pierce who had 9 kills and 12 points.
 
The Lancers will return home on Friday night as they host the Queen's Gaels at 6:00pm. The evening is also the Lancers Volleyball Fan Fest. All minor volleyball teams will be admitted to the game free of charge.
