Box Score The Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team lost 3-0 (11-25, 15-25, 8-25) to the host Western Mustangs on Friday in London.
With the loss, the Lancers fall to 2-12 on the year, while the Mustangs improve to 11-3 on the season.
The game started out tight with the teams battling point for point, with Western holding a slim 7-6 advantage before they went on an 18-5 run to capture the set.
The second set went much like the first as Windsor was able to stay close to the Mustangs to start with Western holding only a 6-4 and then a 14-9 lead before eventually taking the set.
Windsor struggled right out of the gate in the third set, as the Mustangs went on an 11-0 run to start the third set. Unforced errors by the Lancers and strong hitting by the Mustangs pushed the lead to 19-5 and then the Mustangs went on to the 25-8 victory.
The Lancers will hope to rebound on Saturday as they host the Lakehead Thunderwolves at 7:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
