Box Score 2 The Lancer men's volleyball team would rebound on Saturday to defeat the York Lions in five sets after a tough 3-0 loss to McMaster on Friday night.
In their season opener against McMaster, the Lancers put up a fight in the first set. Recording ten kills, but seven errors, the Marauders would rise above with ten of their own and only two errors for a kill percentage of .364. McMaster took the first set 25-19.
In the second set, McMaster tallied another 13 kills and only three errors, taking down the Lancers 25-17. In the third, the Lancers would have no steam left for the dominating Marauders who won the third set by a score of 25-12.
Kyle Williamson would earn the most points for the Lancers with eight kills and two aces, and
Ryan Le would add another six kills to the Windsor attack.
On Saturday, the Lancers rebounded with a hard fought battle against the York Lions. In the end, Windsor would prevail in five sets 3-2 (26-28, 25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 16-14).
Windsor has a week off before returning to action on November 4th and 5th when they host the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins at the St. Denis Centre.
