Box Score The Windsor Lancers Women's Volleyball team dropped their 2011-12 regular season home opener to the Brock Badgers on Friday night at the St. Denis Centre.

Despite a strong start in all three sets, the Lancers fell 17-25, 18-25, 12-25 to the Badgers.

The Lancers will be back in action next Friday night at home when they host the Queen's Gaels at 6pm at the St. Denis Centre.

On Friday night in front on an energetic crowd in Windsor, the home team came out on fire and led 4-0 early in the opening set. However the Badgers battled back to square the set at 6-6 with some solid outside hitting over their own.

The two teams traded points most of the way before the Badgers pulled away late and earned the 25-17 set win.

The second set was a carbon copy of the first as Windsor again jumped out to an early lead. Once again the Badgers worked their way back into the set and separated themselves midway through for the two set lead.

The third and final set was all Brock as they controlled the pace of pace with some solid hitting and strong defense. The Badgers led 10-5 en route to the 25-12 win and match victory.

For the Lancers, Hannah Robson finished with 7 kills and Kaila Seguin added 6 kills. Ana Vrcelj finished with 5 kills and 4.5 blocks on the night.

Chelsey Drouillard also had a strong passing game and added some solid defensive play with 6 digs.
