Box Score 2 The Lancer men's volleyball team defeated the Toronto Varsity Blues 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16) and the Ryerson Rams 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-16) this weekend in Toronto.
With the win, the Lancers are tied for second place in the OUA with the Guelph Gryphons with a 5-1 record.
On Saturday against Toronto,
Ryan Le led Windsor with 13 kills, 8 digs and 13 points.
Harrison Oake had 10 kills for 11 points, while Kyle WIlliamson chipped in 10 kills of his own for 11 points.
It was a very tight first set as the teams were neck-and-neck until the near end when the Lancers regained ther form to win by a four point margin.
After a close second set that saw Toronto come out on top to tie the game, the Lancers remained focused throughout the next two to earn the win.
Against the Rams, Williamson led the team with 11 kills for .429, 5 digs and 1 stuff block.
Windsor played an excellent games with 49 total kills and only 9 errors through three sets.
Oake contributed 12 kills, while
Scott Hickman had five of the Lancers 10 solo blocks.
Windsor returns home on Friday November 18th when they host the Western Mustangs at 8:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
