Lancer Volleyball loses tough matches to Toronto and Ryerson

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancer women's volleyball team dropped a pair of touch matches on the weekend in Toronto.

On Saturday, Windsor fell 3-1 (7-25, 25-21, 23-25, 18-25) to the Toronto Varsity Blues. On Sunday, the Lancers dropped a 3-0 decision (18-25, 25-27, 23-25) to the Ryerson Rams.

Against the Blues, Windsor struggled to find their grove in the first set, but rebounded in the second to tie up the game.Led by Kaila Seguin with 11 kills and 11 digs, the Lancers dug deep against the undefeated Blues in the third and fourth sets but were unable to come away with the win.

Chelsea Drouillard led the Lancers defensively with 13 digs.

Against Ryerson, Windsor was led by Jen Ellig with a 0.460 kill percentange. Seguin had another great game with a game high 15 kills and 17 points.

Windsor will head up north next weekend to take on the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

The Lancers return home on Friday November 25th to host the Guelph Gryphons at 6:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
