The Windsor Lancers Men's Hockey team split a pair of exhibition road games this past weekend against Laurier and Nipissing.
On Friday night, the Lancers knocked off the Laurier Golden Hawks for the second time in a week as they earned a 4-3 victory in Waterloo. On Saturday, Windsor fell 3-2 to the host Nipissing Lakers in North Bay.
Against Laurier,
Derek Lanoue scored the game-winning goal for the Lancers with just over seven minutes to play in the final frame to seal the victory.
First year goaltender
Dan Savelli of Tecumseh, Ont., made 22 saves for Windsor, while Golden Hawks netminder Ryan Daniels stopped 45 shots for the home school.
Against Nipissing,
Derek Lanoue scored both Lancer goals in the 3-2 loss to the Lakers.
The Lancers will continue their pre-season with a pair of games against the NCAA's #1 ranked team, the Miami-Ohio Redhawks and the Ohio State University Buckeyes next weekend in Ohio.
