The Lancer women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (18-25, 20-25, 19-25) to the Waterloo Warriors on Friday night on the road.
The Lancers fell to 2-10 on the season, while the Warriors moved to 4-7.
The opening set saw the Warriors take control early and lead the set from start to finish en route to a 25-18 win.
The second set saw the Lancers battle back as third year outside hitter Kaila Seguin would respond with several kills of her own, However, the Waterloo defense held strong against the Lancer attack to take the set 25-20.
Windsor struggled against some solid serving by the Warriors to open the third set. With the score tied 13-13 Waterloo earned five straight points. Windsor would fight back to within three but the Warriors' defense stopped Windsor's comeback attempt to win the set 25-19.
Windsor was given a balanced attack in the loss with Seguin as the top point getter at seven. Setter Jessica Shepley chipped in with 11 assists in the loss.
The Lancers will stay on the road for another week of action as they travel to London next Friday night to face the Western Mustangs at 6:00pm at Alumni Hall.
