Lancers drop pair of matches in Toronto to open season

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Lancer Men's Volleyball team opened the 2012-13 season with a pair of road losses to the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues.

Windsor opened the season on Friday night with a 3-1 (20-25, 225-25, 25-15, 19-25) loss to Ryerson, and followed that up on Saturday with a 3-0 (22-25, 19-25, 19-25) loss to the Varsity Blues.

On Friday, fifth year senior had a solid performance registering a game high 13 kills, while Adam Thompson was right behind him with 12 kills and 16 points. Greg Simone and Timothee Jaumel also hit doubel digits with 11 and 10 kills respectively.

Against the Blues, Williamson again led for the Blue & Gold with 12 kills and 13 points.

The Lancers host their first set of home games this coming weekend when they host the Guelph Gryphons on Friday night and the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday. Both games are slated for 8:00pm at the St. Denis Centre.
