Lancers fall to Queen's, RMC

Box Score KINGSTON, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers women's volleyball team dropped both its matches this past weekend, losing to the Queen's Gaels 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-17) and falling 3-0 (31-29, 25-12, 25-19) to the RMC Paladins. 

Senior outside Kaila Seguin (Windsor) led the Lancers with 7.5 points and six digs on Saturday against Queen's.  Marissa Thomson picked up a team-high six kills, while Brianna Balzer and Shannon Dean added five and four kills a-piece in the loss.  Colleen Ogilvie led all player with 14.5 points which included 10 kills, four aces and six digs for the Gaels, while teammate Kelsey Bishop had a game-best 12 kills.  The Gaels were more efficient that than Lancers counterparts, garnering a .295 hitting percentage as opposed to .047 from Windsor.  The Lancers managed just two aces compared to nine from the hosts. 

The Lancers were unable to rebound on Sunday, tallying a .045 hitting percentage compared to .209 from the Paladins.  Dean tallied five kills and seven points for Windsor, and Jessica Shepley picked up 10 set assists in the loss.  Norah Collins had a game-high 13 kills to help the Paladins to the win. 

The Lancers are back at home on Wednesday, November 28 when they host the Western Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.
