Box Score 2 WINDSOR, Ont.- The Windsor Lancers men's volleyball team were defeated 3-1 (19-25, 25-9, 25-20, 25-21) by the CIS No. 3 ranked McMaster Marauders at the St. Denis Centre on Saturday afternoon, and then fell to the York Lions 3-0 (23-25, 21-25, 23-25) on Sunday.
Saturday, Stephen Maar led all players with 15 kills and 19 points for the undefeated Marauders (8-0), while
Kyle Williamson picked up 12 kills and a team-high 15 points in response for the Lancers (2-5).
Adam Thompson also contributed nine kills and two blocks, while
Andrew Chelladurai had 35 set assists for the Lancers, who managed a .128 hit percentage. The Marauders worked at a .320 efficiency, and totalled 43 digs compared to 29 from Windsor.
On Sunday against York, Lion Ray Szeto led all players with 18 kills, while teammate Nikola Sandic had 13 kills. Windsor was led by Williamson with 10 kills and 11 digs, and Chelladurai had 36 set assists.
Windsor improved on Saturday's game with a .220 hit percentage against the Lions.
The Lancers will renew their rivalry with the Western Mustangs next Wednesday, November 28, as both the women's and men's teams are in action at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. respectively at the St. Denis Centre.
