The Lancer women's hockey team will host a rare home game at Tecumseh Arena this Saturday afternoon, when they face off against the No. 4 Queen's Gaels. This is the Lancers last game before they break for the holidays.

After losing 3-2 on Saturday to Laurier and 2-1 against Waterloo on Sunday afternoon, the Lancers boast a 9-5-2 record, good for fifth place in Ontario University Athletics.
 
“We're a pretty close team and we have a great captain this year who keeps us on track so we should succeed and end up at least in the top four if we continue staying focused and giving our full effort,” says rookie defender Natalie Barrette.

The Gaels (13-1-1) are ranked fourth in the CIS and sit atop the OUA standings. They are coming off a pair of shutout wins last weekend against the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues.

The puck will drop at 4:10pm on Saturday at Tecumseh Arena.
